Hudson Stems is a floral preservation studio based in the Hudson Valley, specializing in transforming wedding bouquets and sentimental blooms into timeless heirloom art. Operating nationwide, they guide customers through a personalized preservation process — from custom pressed frames and jewelry to add-ons and color correction services — all built around the most meaningful moments in a customer's life.

The Problem

Hudson Stems had outgrown Wix. The platform couldn't support the level of product customization, purchase flow clarity, and third-party integrations their growing catalog required — customers struggled to understand pricing, navigate product variations, and configure their orders with add-ons. With a service-based product that involves a high degree of customization and real emotional stakes, friction at any point in the journey was costing them conversions and confidence. They needed a platform built for commerce, and a storefront built around the way they actually sell.


The Solution

Electric Eye migrated Hudson Stems from Wix to Shopify and built out a storefront purpose-built for the way they sell. The PDP was redesigned for pricing clarity and a cleaner product configuration experience, making it easy for customers to understand exactly what they were getting. A mobile-optimized add-on upsell grid was developed to surface complementary products at the right moment in the purchase flow. New oval frame designs were introduced as distinct product options, expanding the catalog with minimal friction. Local pickup was configured alongside their existing shipping options to support customers in the Hudson Valley. Cart functionality was refined end-to-end to ensure a smooth path from product selection to checkout — removing the technical roadblocks that had been getting in the way of an otherwise exceptional brand experience.
