Sunday Afternoons
Design & Development
Summary
The founders of Sunday Afternoons have been playing outdoors together since the early 1980s. Rooted in the Pacific Northwest, Sunday Afternoons founders Robin and Angeline Lacy raised their family in Ashland, Oregon, where they spent their free time windsurfing, hiking, and exploring nature on long Sunday Afternoons.
The Problem
Sunday Afternoons was running an outdated Shopify theme that was not compatible with the latest 2.0 version, which can present several drawbacks for merchants. Firstly, compatibility issues may arise with new features and functionalities introduced in the 2.0 theme, leading to a lack of access to important tools and capabilities that could enhance the store's performance and user experience. This can result in a stagnant website that fails to keep up with evolving customer expectations and industry standards, potentially leading to decreased traffic and sales.
The Solution
Electric Eye worked with Sunday Afternoons to upgrade to a Shopify 2.0 compatible theme without much custom development. By embracing the latest advancements in e-commerce technology, such as enhanced feature options, streamlined checkout processes, and improved performance, the client can expect a significant boost in their store's functionality and user experience. With a 2.0 compatible theme, the client gains access to cutting-edge features tailored to optimize conversions, increase customer engagement, and drive sales. Moreover, the upgrade ensures compatibility with future Shopify updates, safeguarding against potential compatibility issues and security vulnerabilities. Overall, this strategic move not only modernizes the client's online storefront but also positions them for sustained growth and success in the competitive e-commerce landscape.
